Climb Canada
Climb Canada was a design sprint project developed in a three-hour timeframe using a prompt. This project includes a brand identity for a sporting event held in Canada. Event signage, merchandise such as wristbands for eventgoers, and a website were built.
I went for movement and a bold look utilizing geometric shapes, a bright red and grayscale color choice, and angular type.
As for the logo, I explored the less used but very crucial to the sport, the rock climbing shoe in the logo. Its organic shape is reminiscent of a continent that references it as an international event and ties in rock climbing.
Two alternate logos are displayed below, including other color variations I could have used in the project. If this project had become a more developed body of work for a client, I would have liked to explore the third logo with a monochrome red look.
